A plain-language guide to the information AmiiboHunt uses

Current policy

Last updated . This policy covers the AmiiboHunt website, account features, and related collection services.

1. Who we are

AmiiboHunt is a collection, release, compatibility, retailer, and marketplace-information service for amiibo collectors.

Privacy questions and requests can be sent to [email protected].

2. Information we process

  • Account information: name, email address, password hash, verification status, sign-in dates, and recent sign-in IP address.
  • Connected sign-in accounts: the provider name and provider account identifier when you choose Google, Discord, GitHub, Facebook, or Twitch. AmiiboHunt does not receive your provider password.
  • Collection information: owned amiibo, quantities, boxed status, wishlist, watchlist, sale-list choices, notes, and public-profile preferences.
  • Technical and usage information: requested pages, device or browser information, diagnostic logs, analytics events, and security information needed to operate and protect the service.
  • Messages: information you include when reporting inaccurate data, requesting support, or contacting AmiiboHunt.

3. How the information is used

  • Provide sign-in, collection tracking, public profiles, exports, preferences, and account support.
  • Keep the catalogue, pricing, stock, release, and compatibility experience reliable.
  • Measure page usage, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and improve performance.
  • Send essential account messages such as verification or password-reset emails.

4. Cookies and local storage

Studio Control, our own analytics service hosted on Cloudflare, counts website visits using a random browser identifier that expires after 90 days. We retain project-specific hashed identifiers and daily counts for up to 90 days, without sending page URLs, names, email addresses or account IDs. The collector uses a short-lived network hash for rate limiting. It respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. You can also disable it for this browser with the button below.

AmiiboHunt uses authentication and security cookies to keep signed-in sessions working. Theme preference is stored in your browser so dark or light mode persists.

Analytics, error-monitoring, and advertising technology may use cookies or similar identifiers. Advertising is controlled by the account preference shown in Privacy & region when that option is available.

5. Service providers and external links

Information is shared only where needed with providers that support hosting, managed database storage, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring, authentication, and advertising. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices.

Marketplace and retailer links take you to external websites. Some are affiliate links, but AmiiboHunt does not send your private collection data with those links and does not sell your account or collection information.

6. Retention and security

Account and collection information is retained while the account remains active or as needed to provide the service. Limited records may remain for security, legal, backup, or fraud-prevention purposes after a request is completed.

Passwords are stored as hashes, access is restricted, and encrypted connections are used in transit. No online service can promise absolute security, so please use a unique password and report unexpected account activity.

7. Your choices and rights

You can change profile visibility, collection visibility, region, and advertising preferences in account settings. You can also request access, correction, export, restriction, objection, or deletion by emailing the privacy address above. The rights available to you depend on your location and the circumstances of the request.

People in the United Kingdom can also learn about their information rights or raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office.

8. Changes to this policy

This page will be updated when the service or its information practices materially change. The date at the top shows the latest published revision.
